this workshop will be a really good opportunity to pick up a lot of internet video skills, lingo, tricks, and resources in a short amount of time.
In this workshop, participants will learn about the world of resources available for the aspiring internet TV producer and the thriving online viewing community. We will go way beyond the latest YouTube gem and talk about why (or why not) you or your group should start vlogging (video blogging). We will discuss and demonstrate techniques for compression, syndication, promotion and give you the resources to learn more. Each participant will have a chance to create his/her own syndicated internet video channel and begin the process of promoting it to the world.
This workshop is intended for people with some computer experience. Video experience will be helpful, but not necessary. Participants with laptop computers are encouraged to bring them. If you don't have a laptop, but have some videos you would like to post on your new internet TV channel, bring them on CD or DVD as data files.
